Service Boot®

The timeless design and rugged durability of the Stitchdown Service Boot® are synonymous with the Viberg brand and have been since 1931.
This pattern is a classic ankle derby boot which is one of the most versatile patterns available. Originally made for heavy work, outside. Edwin Viberg set out to create what he believed to be the most supportive, crafted boot available for farm and prairie labourers.

Horween Leather Company has been producing its proprietary Chromexcel® tannage, famous for its patina, since 1905. The secret to this chrome & vegetable tannage lies in the recipe of wax, oils, and greases infused into the leather that moves with wear to produce a unique pull-up.

Chromexcel®, known for its unique pull-up, has been produced by Horween for over 100 years. The recipe involves chrome and vegetable tanning and requires 89 individual steps and a minimum of 28 days to complete. The result is an incredibly durable leather with a refined & rugged finish that gets better with age.

About Viberg

Established in 1931 by Ed Viberg, the Canadian company, now in its third generation, remains family-owned and operated. Ed's son personally oversees boot production, ensuring unparalleled craftsmanship. Utilizing premium materials, including Italian outsoles, U.S. cowhide leathers, and Vietnamese water buffalo leathers, Viberg emphasizes durability. Brass nails from Japan and the UK prevent rust, and a dedication to leather for boot bottoms ensures longevity and superior performance. With over 200 meticulous steps in production, Viberg's skilled artisans embody a devotion to quality at every stage.
